ABOUT
James C. Gallagher Sr. founded GALCO in 1972, working from his home in Franconia Township. Several years later, GALCO became a “family” business when sons James Jr. and Charles joined the company.
In 1982, GALCO became an authorized vendor of the “Comdial Corporation” product line, establishing an office in Allentown, Pennsylvania and added a second office in Souderton, Pennsylvania later that year. Upon the death of James C. Gallagher, Sr. in 1992, James C. Gallagher, Jr. became president of the company.
In 1997, GALCO relocated to a larger, updated facility to better serve its customers, and to allow the company to expand and progress. Our present location, a 5,000 square foot building in Quakertown, Pennsylvania offers a fully-stocked warehouse, sales office, training facility, and a service and installation department manned by factory trained and certified technicians.
In early 2011, James C. Gallagher, Jr. decided to begin the process of retirement. He approached Sales Manager Thomas Cooper and Salesperson Paul Lorenz about purchasing GALCO. They agreed and in December, 2011, Thomas and Paul became the new owners. James remains at GALCO as the Account Manager of Government and Emergency Services until he decides to fully retire.
In 2012, GALCO became a certified dealer for ESI Estech, Inc. and expanded available products to include premise, cloud (VoIP) and hybrid solutions.

Duties: Paul develops the vision and advances the organization by understanding business trends and utilizing the latest technology to keep our customers on the cutting edge.
Education: B.S. in Computer Information Systems Management, Delaware Valley College, Class of 2000
Other: Past President & Treasurer of the Pennridge-Perkasie Rotary Club, Current President of Pierce Library Assoc. in Perkasie, Current President of Pennridge Community Day Committee.
Tom Cooper
Vice President & Sales Manager
Duties: Tom is responsible for new customer development and retention, as well as directing the company’s expansion of products and services.
Education: B.S. in Management and Marketing, Temple University.
Other: Past Member of the Chamber of Commerce for the Greater Montgomery County Advisory Council
